Is paperclip suitable to use as a jira replacement?

@aronprins would be interested to know how you'd set up the company/CEO during onboarding. I've liked using Paperclip for building on an idea that fits more of a traditional company format. But I'd like to know how you'd approach setting it up almost as a personal team helping with my day-to-day work like what Jake mentioned above.\ \ P.S. Good question — and the answer is "partly, depending on what you're really after."

Paperclip isn't a Jira replacement in the traditional sense. There are no sprint boards, epics, swimlanes, or issue-transition workflows — it's a community/knowledge platform first, with an agent layer bolted to it, not a dedicated PM tool.

But the part of your question that does line up well is "agents available only to me, not the clients." Paperclip's agent + task model is genuinely built for that: you can run private agents that triage, break down, and execute work on issues without exposing any of it to the community-facing side. So for your own internal coordination, driven by agents, it can absolutely act as a lightweight task tracker.

Where it falls short of Jira is the human-PM ergonomics — drag-and-drop boards, reporting/burndown, third-party integrations. If those matter, you'll be happier keeping a real PM tool and pointing agents at it. If what you want is "agents quietly running my backlog where clients never see it," that's squarely in Paperclip's wheelhouse.
