A Weekly Review Process for AI Company Operators

AI companies drift without human attention. Agents pick up tasks, produce work, and spend budget on a schedule that doesn't pause and wait for you to notice. A week without a review is a week where a budget incident goes unresolved, a stalled task blocks downstream work, or a strategic drift goes uncorrected. None of those problems are catastrophic on their own — but they compound.

A 30-minute weekly review, done consistently, catches nearly all of them before they become expensive.

What you're looking for

The review is not an audit of every agent action. It is a health check across five dimensions:

Dashboard health — are all agents running as expected, or are any in error or paused? Activity over the past 7 days — did work move? What patterns appear? Cost by agent — who spent what, and does it look right compared to last week? Approval queue — is anything waiting on you that has been waiting too long? Stalled tasks — is anything stuck in inprogress for more than 3 days?

Each step takes 5–7 minutes if things are healthy. Longer only when something needs fixing — which is the point.
